Madam Lim’s Kitchen

After passing by Madam Lim’s Kitchen each time we did our shopping at Tesco, Mutiara Damansara, we finally gave it a try –

Our dinner …

Madam Lim’s Tom Yum Seafood – Very Good (but picture - cacat)

Fish Fillet with Ginger and Spring Onion - Good

Kung Poh Chicken Fillet - Good

Brinjal with Taucu Paste - Good

Claypot Tao Foo - Can't see the tau foo in the picture ... hee hee - OK

Strawberry with Milk Pudding – OK

Do not be misled by the modest name - they serve good food.

Give it a try - especially the chef recommended tom yum soup.

Chao Yen Restaurant

Some time ago, we makan-makan at Chao Yen Restaurant (1 Utama) - a restaurant which serves authentic Teo Chew Cuisine.

It was our first time there.

Their cozy environment caught our eyes and sis suggested we give it a try.

Turned out to be a good choice...

The menu

The tea set

The Seafood Steamboat - prawns, crab, vegetables, fish stomach, fish, etc. The soup is tasty - Good.

Mui Choy (preserved mustard cabbage) with pork belly – nothing to shout about – looks normal and taste normal.

Brinjal cooked with mince meat – brinjals cooked in this style is always delicious - Good.

Chicken fillet cooked with bitter gourd and preserved black olives – lovely combination. Taste great with plain white rice. I like it - very good.

For dessert, we tried their :

Mango Sago which is nice and “mango-ee” – Good; and

Guilingao – Very good.

Overall, the food here are simple and nice but quite pricey.

No harm trying... if you have not tasted Teo Chew Cuisine.

THIS IS IT

Finally, watched "This Is It" at GSC (1 Utama) with Aguilera Sg.

Great show indeed.

Imagine how the life concert would have been!

Michael's voice, dance, performance, everything - SUPERB.

A real artist-entertainer.

He really, really sang from his heart.

Love every bit of the show !

Mummy VS Monkey

There is this hardware shop in Damansara Utama that sells not only those normal things you can get from the hardware shop but they also sell stuffs like hair accessories, bags and purses, stickers, toys, etc. (just like those you see in the night markets). The price is very attractive too probably because the goods are from China.

Anyway, I bought a set of “wall decoration stickers” recently and now part of the wall in the bedroom looks like this :

Isn’t it cool.

The kids love it so much… so much that…

Last night during our bedtime song session, after singing Barney’s “I love you” song, instead of the normal hug and “I love you, mummy”, the little one looked at the wall and said “I love you, monkey” !

Hmmm…

If this continues, “Sorry monkey, I’m going to take you and your friends down”.

Growing "Vegetables" in The Kitchen

Woo hoo...

The SuperMaid is not only a destroyer but an ENVIRONMENTALIST as well !

As a result for not cleaning the kitchen sink properly, we now have a "plant" growing through the gap between the tiles and the sink.

Yeah - plant your own vegetables - at the kitchen sink.

Way to go !
